A Salesman

Today, there was a salesman dropped by to my house. He was trying to promote his product which is a home electronical stuff. I was not very interested with his product but he insisted to promote it. So, I just let it be.

He tried to persuade me to buy the product by mentioning all the advantages.
I noded my head and pretended that I understood what he was trying to promote. There are no salesman that would promote the disadvantages of his own product since they wish to get profits from the sales.

At last, I said: "You only want the profit from the sales. I am not interested in it. Kindly move out. Thanks."

In this case, I was using AD HOMINEM CIRCUMSTANTIAL FALLACY which is to dismiss an arguement by attacking people who presumably accept that arguement because it addresses the circumstances of those who hold the possition.
