THE RIGHT!!!

Haizz, what a terrible day! I really felt frustrated with my roommate. Here the story...

My roommate always says that it is a forbid to bring girlfriend back to the room. I thought he was just kidding because he got girlfriend too, and it is impossible for him not to bring his girlfriend to his hostel. Few weeks ago, my girlfriend came from Kedah to visit me. She was very tired that night and wanted to stay 1 night with me, but my housemate rejected my request strongly.

He said it is a taboo to bring back girlfriend to hostel. Due to this, i had to rent a room outside and it was really costly. Today, when I came back to hostel after holidays, I saw his girlfriends inside the room.

I said nothing. I just packed my things. But in my thought, he has no right to disallow me bringing my own girlfriend to hostel, since he brought his own girlfriend back to our room.

He committed TU-QUOQUE.

A Salesman

Today, there was a salesman dropped by to my house. He was trying to promote his product which is a home electronical stuff. I was not very interested with his product but he insisted to promote it. So, I just let it be.

He tried to persuade me to buy the product by mentioning all the advantages.
I noded my head and pretended that I understood what he was trying to promote. There are no salesman that would promote the disadvantages of his own product since they wish to get profits from the sales.

At last, I said: "You only want the profit from the sales. I am not interested in it. Kindly move out. Thanks."

In this case, I was using AD HOMINEM CIRCUMSTANTIAL FALLACY which is to dismiss an arguement by attacking people who presumably accept that arguement because it addresses the circumstances of those who hold the possition.

Back From The Holiday

I was on the way back to university. On the way back, it was raining heavily which made me felt sleepy. I decided to sleep for a while.

Suddenly, my mom woke me up and told me that we had finally reached the hostel.

I realized that I slept without any awareness, just like a dead people. I practised simile.

Then, my sister and I brought all the luggage into my room. When I entered my room, I rereiced a message from a friend of mine, asking when I will be back to the university.

"I am here already." I answered.

"I will be back either tonight or tomorrow and I will inform you when I back to university." He replied.

"Be careful on the way back yea. Take care."

In this case, my friend was making compound claims, disjuctive (using "or") and conjuctive (using "and") claims.

MEMORIES

After I had my lunch, I promenaded with my grandfather in the park.
Suddenly i recalled my old memories.
When I was small, he was the one who holding my hands but now, in turn, I am the one who holding his hand. At the middle of the park, there is a well. Most of the neighbours will throw a coin into the well and make a wish because they believe that the well has an unbelieveable power to fulfill others wishes.
This is the commom belief among the neighbours, and I believe in it too. Then, i threw a coin into the well and made a wish. " I wish my grandfather will be in good condition and away from any illness." I was practising "common practice"
